Ao longo de 18 anos de existência, o principal objetivo da organização do concurso Miss Brasil – USA sempre foi reverenciar e exaltar a beleza da mulher brasileira no exterior, por isso, vale ressaltar que nunca foi nossa intenção favorecer candidatas vindas de outros países e, conseqüentemente, desfavorecer as jovens locais. Em virtude da evolução natural no decorrer de quase duas décadas, a inclusão no concurso de candidatas que, por ventura, não residam nos Estados Unidos visa aumentar o nível de competitividade e variedade estética entre as jovens, visto a fantástica diversidade étnica e cultural do Brasil. Aproveitamos a oportunidade para reiterar o nosso profundo respeito à mulher brasileira, cuja beleza, simpatia e charme são reconhecidos internacionalmente.
Consequentemente, em de 2010, teremos não somente o Miss Brasil USA com candidatas de todas as partes dos Estados Unidos, mas também teremos o Miss Brasil USA International, no qual as 15 finalistas do Miss Brasil USA, incluindo as 1ª, 2ª e 3ª colocadas, estarão participando também. Sendo assim, poderemos satisfazer não somente a nossa comunidade brasileira nos Estados Unidos, mas também todo o mundo. Serão dois eventos distintos, pois primeiramente elegeremos a Miss Brasil USA 2010 e depois, no dia seguinte, elegeremos a Miss Brasil USA International, com candidatas brasileiras vindas de todo o mundo.
Sendo assim, consideramos que todos os coordenadores regionais, familiares e candidatas estarão satisfeitos com está nova decisão tomada por “Cacá” Santos, CEO do Miss Brasil – USA, e juntamente com o departamento jurídico do concurso.

The winner of Miss Brasil USA 2009, will go home with a brand new car, Mazda MX3, sponsored from the dealership “MAXON” www.yesmaxon.com in Union. The “Welcome Cocktail Party” will be launched on November 18th at 7:00 PM, at the “Adega Lounge” in Newark, New Jersey, where all the 50 beauties will be presented. On the 19th will be another cocktail at Riodizio Churrascaria in Union, New Jersey on Route 22 West, and then on 20th will be at 35 Edison Place at new “Brick City” Bar & Grill. Mr. Cacá Santos the CEO of the event, celebrates 18 sucessefull years showing to the community one more year of a brilliant show, with all of the Brazilian contestants at 9:00 PM on the “Crystal Room” from the Robert Treat Hotel located on 50 Park Place in Newark, to find out which contestant takes the “Crown” of Miss Brasil USA 2009. They will be lots of VIP’s present at this special event. For over 12 years, Caio Castro is be doing the choreography, and one more time will give it’s touch of class. You know Twitter. At this time everybody knows it. Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read messages known as tweets. Okay let’s highlight the word free. Now if tomorrow you logged on to Twitter and were suddenly informed that it was now a premium service that was charging $1/month (ongoing) or $10/year to access the service, how would you react? Let’s say you had 30 days to make-up your mind and/or backup your stuff. After that, your account was unavailable – unless you paid.

The company confirms — for the first time we’ve seen, at least — age-old theories that they’ll sell commercial accounts to power users or companies using the social media.

Twitter is easily worth $1/month to me. Twitter has an estimated 25 million users, and if everybody saw things like I do that would mean quarter-of-a-billion dollars of revenue per annum. Sure, I’d like to see that money invested back into Twitter.

On the other hand it will lose all that underground smell that we all love about micro-blogging on Twitter. But just like anywhere else in this world. It’s all about the money

Lindsay Lohan brings buzz to Paris fashion

The “Mean Girls” star was signed as the artistic adviser for French fashion house Emanuel Ungaro in September and just weeks later she debuted her first range at Paris Fashion Week.

Dressed in a white mini dress and red heels, the actress sparked a paparazzi frenzy at the Louvre museum where the show was held, creating exactly the kind of buzz executives at Ungaro had been hoping for.

Fashion critics, however, looked aghast at Lohan’s bra tops and stripper-inspired nipple pasties.

“We both love fashion, the different aspects, different generations, different styles from around the world, we like to mix everything up,” Lohan told reporters backstage in a joint interview with Ungaro designer Estrella Archs.

The thigh-skimming dresses in peach, hot pink and white seemed designed for a Malibu Beach party, while sparkling nipple pasties flashing from underneath loose blazers were a reminder of Lohan’s own occasional wardrobe mishaps.

“It’s not good to show your nipples so they should be covered,” Lohan told Reuters, referring to the heart-shaped pasties.

But her appearance was also a reminder of the risks faced by luxury brands who tie their image to that of a celebrity.

When reporters asked her about her love of scandal, Lohan frowned and snapped: “That’s an unnecessary question.”

It will happen in New York City on this September 5^th the well-known “Lavagem da Rua 46″/ Cleansing of 46th Street that it was very acclaimed for its enormous success in its first edition in 2008 and now it was also incorporated into the official calendar as the largest Brazilian event outside of Brazil and will open the celebrations of the Brazilian Day.

The Cleansing is more a spiritual and mystic tradition that started in Bahia. People believe that the Cleansing was originated in the times when the slaves were forced to wash the stairway of the Church for the Patron Saint’s party.

Nowadays this traditional celebration consists of an enormous procession with hundreds of baianas, vases with flowers and perfumed water in order to wash the stairway and cleanse those who believe.

This opening event of the Brazilian Day will bring several attraction s to the stage to be located on 46th Street between Madison and 5th Avenue. You will be introduced to dignitaries, sponsors and representatives who made the event possible. Then the stage will be opened to Brazilian’s world renowned artists, samba dancers and the exciting and full of Brazilian beauties “Musa do Brazilian Day’’. I will be there and what about you?
